Alstromeria Flower, Watercolor. 2013.
I chose this flower because it represents aspiration. Something I’ve always aspired to be is an artist, I remember in the 5th grade a girl from my class asked me “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I responded “An artist”. Her reaction was saying that artists do not make a lot of money. Even at that age I knew what I wanted to do and the consequences of it.

Bettie Page. Watercolor, 2012.
I’ve always been intrigued with the pinup culture, and creating this piece I had a lot of fun trying to capture the elegance and physique that pinup models have. Due to Bettie Page’s actions, many women have followed the difficult art of modeling. My idea was to create the black & white “old photo” feel to symbolize the classic trademark that she has created. Her lips are red to make a connection to the viewer, revealing that the pinup culture is very much alive.

An Idea
I haven’t been using this blog that often. Mainly because it’s not as promotional for a single artist, but good for promoting many artists. So an idea came to mind to make my art get out there a bit more, anyone is welcome to send me a pic of themselves clothed or nude, or even of something you like (ex. tree, house, pet, ect.) and I’ll see what sketches or full drawings I make out of them. If any of you are interested go ahead and send anything. This is not for me to get pics of naked chicks, it’s purely a professional attitude and appreciation towards the beauty of the human body. Yes, even you dudes out there, I don’t care. Thank you for any of you who have supported my art. I’ll post some new stuff soon. Click the link for my actual art page. Please reblog this if you have the time, thank you.

“Bad Religion-The Empire Strikes First” Album Painting, for my brother’s Birthday. Acrylic, 2012.
We both love this band because we bonded more than ever jamming to this on road trips, chill sessions, and any chance we could. A lot of great memories listening to this band.
